This statement applies to lsae.co.uk. It does not cover PDF or Word documents we published before 31 August 2026. If you find an accessibility problem, please tell us at
support@lsae.co.uk.
The London School of Applied Excellence (LSAE) wants as many people as possible to be able to use our website (lsae.co.uk) and our learning platform. This means you should be able to:
- Change colours, contrast levels, and fonts using your browser or device settings;
- Zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen or losing functionality;
- Navigate most of the website using a keyboard alone;
- Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software;
- Listen to most of the website using a screen reader, including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
We have also made the website text as simple as possible to understand, and we provide captions or transcripts for our video course content wherever practicable.
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
1. How Accessible This Website Is
We know some parts of this website and our learning platform are not fully accessible. For example, at the time of writing:
- Some older PDF and Word documents used for course materials are not fully accessible to screen reader software;
- Some pre-recorded course videos do not yet have full captions or an audio-described version;
- Some interactive elements, such as the course search overlay and mega-menu navigation, may not behave predictably for keyboard-only or screen reader users in every browser;
- Some colour combinations used for badges and category labels on course cards may not meet the minimum contrast ratio recommended by WCAG 2.2;
- Our WhatsApp chat button and other third-party booking widgets embedded in the site are outside our direct control and may not meet the same standard as the rest of the site.
2. Feedback and Contact Information
If you need information on this website in a different format, such as accessible PDF, large print, easy read, audio recording, or braille, please contact us:
We will consider your request and aim to get back to you within 5 Working Days.
If you cannot view the map on our 'Contact Us' page, or need directions in another format, please email or call us and we will help.
3. Reporting Accessibility Problems
We are always looking to improve the accessibility of this website. If you find any problems not listed on this page, or think we are not meeting accessibility requirements, please contact us at support@lsae.co.uk. Please tell us:
- The web page or feature you were using;
- What device, browser, and any assistive technology you were using;
- What happened, and what you expected to happen instead.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within three Working Days and respond in full within 10 Working Days.
4. Enforcement Procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the 'accessibility regulations'). If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
5. Technical Information About This Website's Accessibility
LSAE is committed to making its website accessible, in line with the principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, even where we are not formally required to comply with the accessibility regulations.
5.1 Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed in Sections 1 and 6 of this statement.
5.2 Standards We Follow
- Perceivable — providing text alternatives, sufficient colour contrast, and content that can be presented in different ways without losing meaning;
- Operable — making all functionality available from a keyboard, giving users enough time to read and use content, and helping users navigate and find content;
- Understandable — making text readable, making web pages appear and operate in predictable ways, and helping users avoid and correct mistakes;
- Robust — maximising compatibility with current and future assistive technologies.
6. Non-Accessible Content
6.1 Content Outside the Scope of the Accessibility Regulations
PDFs, Word documents, and other files published before 31 August 2026 are exempt from the accessibility regulations if they are not essential to using our services. Where an exempt document is essential to enrolling on, paying for, or completing a course, we will provide it in an accessible format on request — see Section 2 above.
6.2 Disproportionate Burden
We have not currently claimed a disproportionate burden exemption for any part of this website. We keep this position under regular review as we work through the issues identified in Section 1.
7. What We Are Doing to Improve Accessibility
We are working through the following actions on a rolling basis:
- Auditing and re-tagging older course PDFs and workbooks so they read correctly with screen readers;
- Adding captions and, where practicable, audio description to pre-recorded video lessons, prioritising our most-enrolled Degree Pathway and Professional Qualification courses;
- Reviewing colour contrast across course category badges, buttons, and form fields against WCAG 2.2 AA;
- Testing the search overlay, mega-menu navigation, and mobile menu with keyboard-only and screen reader users, and fixing issues identified;
- Reviewing third-party embedded tools (such as live chat) with our suppliers and asking them to meet the same accessibility standard.
8. Preparation of This Accessibility Statement
This statement was prepared on 31 August 2026. It was last reviewed on 31 August 2026.
This website was last tested against WCAG 2.2 AA using a combination of automated tools and manual testing with keyboard navigation and screen reader software. The test was carried out internally by LSAE. We plan to review this statement, and repeat testing, at least once a year or whenever we make a significant change to the website.
